Christmas is about Jesus and Jesus is about people, so this Christmas surround yourself with all the people who you love.
There is a song that says "we all need someone to lean on" and I know we have all had our moments when we have needed to lean on someone and we can also write dozens of books on how selfish and unreliable friends can be in our times of need. But i need us all to stop ranting for a moment and ask ourselves "am I a reliable friend". It's easy to criticise others but hard to do it to ourselves, let me tell u something that happens to me once
I was in the car, a few years ago, on my way back from a hotel where I had just had a fun day swimming with friends and stuffing my self full of food. We stopped at a traffic light and a little boy came to me begging for money and I turned my head away thinking "I don't have any money" then I heard in my heart "what about what you have in your hands", I looked down and sure enough I had half a bottle of coke and a cup cake in my hands. I'd been saving it for later so I had a moment struggling within myself (it's half eaten, it can't be enough surely..). Of course I decided to give it to him but immediately I did the car shot off down the road and I couldn't give it to him.
Now this happened when I was young but it stuck with me and since then I try to help immediately and with what little I can.
This Christmas don't hesitate to give, it doesn't have to be a little boy on the street and they don't have to ask you first, for Jesus didn't wait for us to come to him before he paid for our salvation.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
